Remote access is the ability for an authorised person to access data or network from a geographical distance through a network connection. It enables users to connect to the data when they are physically away from their office. Now an important tool for all businesses since it allows the workforce to continue to work without the relying on the user availability being the office.

Data is stored securely on the cloud. e.g. OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox. Computer devices would have the application to process the data. e.g. Microsoft Word installed on your device to process word processing data.

Access to the computer is done remotely through the internet using connection service or software. The user would be virtually using in that computer as if they were physically using the computer in the office.
